Winder Lions Baseball – Age Group & League Information

Age Requirements

League age is determined by the player's age as of April 30, 2026 (for T-Ball through Major).
Pre-T players must turn 3 years old on or before July 31, 2025.

Playing Within Age Groups

All players must play within their designated age group.
An age verification process will be conducted.
Parents wishing for their child to play outside their designated age group must request approval from the Winder Lions Baseball Board prior to evaluations.

4-year-olds (Pre-T) requesting to play up in T-Ball must email the board and be evaluated for approval.

Coaching Requirements

All coaches must register online each season.
Head coach spots are filled on a first come, first served basis — no exceptions.
Confirmation of coaching positions will be sent via email to the head coach.

Travel Ball Player Placement Guidelines

6-year-old travel players (currently in 6U or 7U travel): must play in 8U rec league.
7-year-old travel players (currently in 7U or 8U travel): may play in 8U or 10U rec leagues.
8-year-old travel players (currently in 8U or 9U travel): must play in 10U rec league.
9-year-old travel players (currently in 9U or 10U travel): may play in 10U or 12U rec leagues.
10-year-old travel players (currently in 10U or 11U travel): must play in 12U rec league.

Field Locations

Pre-T (4U) and T-Ball (6U) will play all games in-house at Lions Ballpark.
Peewee (8U) through Major (12U) will continue interleague play with Archer and BCA:
- Peewee (8U) will play weekday games at Lions Ballpark.
- Minor (10U) and Major (12U) will have games during the week at Lions Ballpark & Archer Ballpark.
- Weekend games will rotate between Lions Ballpark and Archer Ballpark.

Season Fundraiser

Each season, our program hosts a fundraiser to support the ongoing needs of our teams and facilities. All proceeds go directly back into the Winder Lions Baseball program to help cover expenses such as equipment, field maintenance, and other essential costs.

These fundraisers are vital to the success of our program, as we do not receive any funding from the city or county. Your participation and support are greatly appreciated and make a meaningful impact on the experience we provide to our players and families.
